As one of the very few dedicated open deck slow boats in Labuan Bajo, this vessel offers a completely unique way to experience the national park. Whether you are hosting a lively gathering with friends or booking a relaxed Labuan Bajo private charter or Komodo open trip for your family, Kimochi delivers a breezy, unhurried, and highly memorable journey.

The Onboard Experience

Because there are no enclosed cabins, life on a Kimochi slow boat cruise is all about feeling connected to the stunning maritime environment. The entire main deck is a sprawling, shaded lounge. Finished with rich wooden floors and a beautiful slatted wood ceiling, the space is outfitted with comfortable bench seating, plush throw pillows, and wide open sides that provide uninterrupted 360 degree views of the passing islands.

Dining is a spectacular communal event on Kimochi. Your group can gather around the massive central wooden tables to enjoy lavish, freshly prepared feasts right on the deck. With a premium Marshall speaker providing the perfect soundtrack to your voyage, the atmosphere is always vibrant, welcoming, and perfectly tuned to your group’s energy.

Signature Features & Exploration

The beauty of a slow boat is that the journey itself is the destination. Kimochi allows you to take in the spectacular landscapes of the archipelago at a leisurely, comfortable pace. Despite the open layout, the vessel does not compromise on essential comforts. Guests have access to a beautifully crafted, fully wooden bathroom and shower area situated right on the deck, allowing you to freshen up while still enjoying the fresh ocean air.

With multiple open levels and easy access to the water, this boat is incredibly versatile. Your local crew will smoothly navigate to quiet bays for swimming, vibrant reefs for snorkeling, and the perfect vantage points to watch the famous Komodo sunsets, ensuring a magical and deeply relaxing day on the water.

Still got questions?

Everything you need to know before you set sail. From booking procedures and payment details to life on board, we have gathered the essential information for a smooth journey.

We understand that plans can shift. Changes, reschedules, or cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on timing and operator policies. Deposits are generally non-refundable, but in some situations, rescheduling or partial refunds may be possible with operator approval. If anything changes, just contact us as early as possible and we’ll help explore the best available options.

All payments are handled securely through Xendit, our official payment partner. You’ll receive a payment link that supports credit and debit cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, and QR payments. For your security, we never ask for payments via personal bank accounts or unofficial channels.

Final payment is typically due 21 days before departure. For some shared or one-day journeys, full payment may be required upfront. The exact payment schedule will always be clearly stated in your invoice before you commit.

Your departure date is secured with a down payment. This locks the vessel and itinerary for your chosen dates and confirms your spot with the operator. Until the deposit is made, availability is not guaranteed, especially during peak travel periods.

Once you’ve chosen a vessel and journey, just reach out to us via email or WhatsApp with your preferences (dates, number of guests, cabin type if applicable). We’ll check availability with the operator and send you a secure payment link. Once payment is made, your booking is confirmed and we’ll take care of the rest, from coordination to trip details.
