Meet your boat

Built in 2019 by legendary Sulawesi craftsmen, this authentic wooden vessel features four air-conditioned cabins that accommodate up to 11 guests with modern comforts like hot water and sea-view windows. The cabin configuration includes three double-bed rooms and one dedicated bunk-bed room, making it an ideal choice for groups of friends or families seeking a balance of togetherness and privacy. Whether you are relaxing in the semi-open dining area or watching the stars from the rooftop sunbed, the boat’s open-space design ensures you stay fully connected to the breathtaking landscapes of Komodo National Park.

The voyage is enhanced by signature features like the bowsprit hammock, which allows guests to feel as if they are floating directly above the turquoise Flores Sea. Guests can enjoy a fully customizable itinerary that hits iconic spots like Padar Island and Manta Point, supported by a professional crew of five and a high-speed tender for island excursions. With amenities ranging from snorkeling gear to a dedicated onboard chef, Papiton Lopi provides a stylish and adventurous sanctuary for those looking to discover Indonesia’s best paradise destinations.

About the trip

Day 1
The day starts early as we head straight toward Padar Island, where the climb rewards you with the classic three-bay view that's worth every step. Once we're back on the boat, the pace shifts toward Komodo Island for a guided walk through the rugged terrain to meet the dragons in their natural habitat. After the encounter, the afternoon softens at Pink Beach, where the mix of calm blue water and rose-tinted sand sets an easy tone for snorkeling or simply unwinding by the shore. As the light fades, we begin cruising back toward Labuan Bajo with the islands glowing along the horizon — a simple but memorable close to a full day in Komodo.

Still got questions?

Speedboats focus on covering highlights efficiently within a single day and return to shore by afternoon or sunset. Liveaboard phinisi move at a slower pace, include overnight stays, and offer a more immersive experience on the water and out on land. The choice depends on whether you prefer a one-day exploration or a relaxed, multi-day journey.

Larger liveaboard phinisi are generally more stable than speedboats, which can feel more movement at higher speeds. Most routes stay within sheltered waters, but conditions can vary. If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend calmer seasons and bringing medication as a precaution.

Most vessels offer shaded areas, open decks, and indoor spaces to rest between activities. Liveaboards include sleeping cabins or shared accommodations for overnight comfort, while day boats focus on seating and shade. Comfort levels vary by vessel, and details are always listed on each page.

Each vessel suits a different travel style. Some are ideal for couples or relaxed travelers, while others work well for families, groups, or divers. If you’re unsure, we can help match you with a vessel based on pace, comfort, and experience type.
