Vinca Phinisi was built in 2020 and launched on March 16th, 2021, in Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. Cruising aboard this liveaboard, you will explore some of the last untouched paradise on earth. While travelling, you can enjoy utmost luxury, adventure, high-quality service, spectacular diving, fine dining, relaxation, and more.

The boat is a Phinisi with a total crew of 7 and can accommodate 14 to 18 persons across its six private, air-conditioned cabins, which include two Western, two Japanese, and two Balinese rooms. Amenities such as an outdoor dining area, an indoor relax area with a bar and karaoke set, and a comfortable outdoor relax area with bean bags ensure a luxurious journey.

About the trip

Day 1

The day starts early as we head straight toward Padar Island, where the climb rewards you with the classic three-bay view that's worth every step. Once we're back on the boat, the pace shifts toward Komodo Island for a guided walk through the rugged terrain to meet the dragons in their natural habitat. After the encounter, the afternoon softens at Pink Beach, where the mix of calm blue water and rose-tinted sand sets an easy tone for snorkeling or simply unwinding by the shore. As the light fades, we begin cruising back toward Labuan Bajo with the islands glowing along the horizon — a simple but memorable close to a full day in Komodo.

Day 1

We start the trip at Kelor Island, where the short hike gives you an easy first taste of Komodo's views and that bright turquoise water. After that, we head to Komodo Island to meet the dragons and walk through their rugged landscape. By late afternoon, we settle near Kalong Island and watch the bats rise from the mangroves, a surprisingly peaceful way to wrap up the first day.

Day 2

Padar welcomes us with a sunrise that genuinely feels worth the early wake up. Once we climb down, the boat glides toward Pink Beach for a mix of snorkeling and slow beach time. The final stop at Taka Makassar brings shallow blue water and a quiet sandbank to enjoy before cruising back toward Labuan Bajo.

Day 1

Sebayur Island sets a relaxed tone for the trip, with clear water and easy snorkeling to shake off the travel mood. After some time in the water, we continue to Pink Beach, where the mix of coral tinted sand and calm waves gives the afternoon a soft, slow feel before settling in on the boat for the evening.

Day 2

Padar starts the morning strong with its famous ridge walk and wide open views. The day then moves into classic Komodo stops: Taka Makassar for shallow, bright water, Manta Point for a chance to spot the rays cruising below, and Kalong Island for another sunset filled with flying bats drifting across the horizon.

Day 3

Manjarite offers calm, bright water that is perfect for slow snorkeling and spotting small reef details. For the final stop, we swing by Kelor Island again for one last short climb or beach moment before cruising back toward Labuan Bajo with an easy ride home.

Day 1

Kelor Island opens the journey with a simple climb and a great view to ease into Komodo. Manjarite follows with calm snorkeling and clear water that feels almost unreal. As the light fades, we head toward Kalong Island to watch the bats take off in waves, a quiet but memorable way to end day one.

Day 2

Padar brings the sunrise moment everyone talks about, and once we are back on the boat, the day flows through a mix of highlights: Pink Beach for color and water time, Komodo Island for the iconic dragon encounter, and Taka Makassar's shallow sandbank. If the sea allows, Manta Point delivers the chance to float above the mantas as they glide around.

Day 3

We start at Gili Lawa Darat, where the hills and long views give the morning a wide open, calm feel. After that, Siaba offers turtle spotting and gentle reef life, and Sabolo adds a soft, quiet beach vibe that settles the day down nicely before we return to the boat

Day 4

Rangko Cave closes the trip with a peaceful swim in its hidden limestone pool, where the sunlight lights up the clear blue water. It is a calm, cool way to wrap up before cruising back toward Labuan Bajo with the last views of the islands.

Liveaboard phinisi move at a slower pace, include overnight stays, and offer a more immersive experience on the water and out on land. The choice depends on whether you prefer a one-day exploration or a relaxed, multi-day journey.

Larger liveaboard phinisi are generally more stable than speedboats, which can feel more movement at higher speeds. Most routes stay within sheltered waters, but conditions can vary. If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend calmer seasons and bringing medication as a precaution.

Most vessels offer shaded areas, open decks, and indoor spaces to rest between activities. Liveaboards include sleeping cabins or shared accommodations for overnight comfort, while day boats focus on seating and shade. Comfort levels vary by vessel, and details are always listed on each page.

Most days are moderately active, with time split between exploring, relaxing onboard, and enjoying the scenery. You won’t be rushed from place to place, and there’s usually flexibility to slow things down depending on the group and conditions.

Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sun protection, and comfortable footwear. A dry bag, reef-safe sunscreen, and personal medication are also recommended. For liveaboards, basic toiletries and towels are usually provided, but details vary by vessel.

Fly into Labuan Bajo Airport from major Indonesian cities such as Bali or Jakarta. Direct flights are available daily, and most journeys start with a pickup from the airport or your hotel. We’ll share exact meeting details after booking.

Komodo can be visited year-round, with each season offering a different feel. Dry months bring calmer seas and peak travel, while shoulder and rainy seasons offer fewer crowds and greener landscapes. The best time depends on your travel style and priorities.

We understand that plans can shift. Changes, reschedules, or cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on timing and operator policies. Deposits are generally non-refundable, but in some situations, rescheduling or partial refunds may be possible with operator approval. If anything changes, just contact us as early as possible and we’ll help explore the best available options.

All payments are handled securely through Xendit, our official payment partner. You’ll receive a payment link that supports credit and debit cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, and QR payments. For your security, we never ask for payments via personal bank accounts or unofficial channels.

Final payment is typically due 21 days before departure. For some shared or one-day journeys, full payment may be required upfront. The exact payment schedule will always be clearly stated in your invoice before you commit.

Your departure date is secured with a down payment. This locks the vessel and itinerary for your chosen dates and confirms your spot with the operator. Until the deposit is made, availability is not guaranteed, especially during peak travel periods.
